Beta Version 1.0 Developer notes
- You may notice a haptic tap on the wrist after 2:00 minutes of shift time. I have not yet implemented a “set shift timer” feature, so right now I’m just testing using a hard-coded value of 2:00. Let me know if you can feel it while you’re on the ice.
- Known Issues:
- You’ll see a lot of Motion Paused, Motion Resumed samples in Apple’s Health App under the workout, I am aware of this and trying to fix.
- If you want your shift time and ice time statistics to be as accurate as possible start your workout on your watch right before your game starts. I usually start mine while I’m still in the locker room so I won’t forget, however any warm up activity will get logged as well. In other words your first few shifts and ice time may include warm up samples.
- If you can tell, please let know what you think your heart rate value was prior to your game vs. when the game is started. For example, I can tell recently at a game that my last HR value was 82 BPM at 8:31:04 PM then went up to 133 8:31:34 PM…so I believe the puck dropped in between. If I can get enough data for heart rate values when the puck is dropped, I can reverse engineer it and potentially use it in further dialing in the app.
- Some interesting stats to compare your data with:
- NHL players skate up to 5 miles per game
